Centre for Research & Teaching of Native Languages

The Centre for Research and Teaching of Native Languages is committed to gathering Indigenous language material in text, audio and video formats. The Centre publishes monograph series of scholarly studies of text and discourse in Native languages, sponsors conferences and workshops and maintains a library of research materials on Canadian Native Languages emphasizing unpublished materials. Special projects that have been completed under the auspices of the Centre include teaching materials, dictionaries, and other language materials for use by Canadian Native groups. Students have access to these materials to support their personal and academic interests in learning Indigenous languages. The collection has materials in Algonquin, Cayuga, Cree, Delaware, Inuk, Mohawk, Odawa/Ojibwa, Oneida and Tuscarora - to name only a few.
