The Indigenous Studies program at Western is currently expanding. The instructors consist of faculty with cross-appointments in other departments throughout the university as well as appointees in Indigenous Studies. Several additional full-time and part-time faculty bring specialized knowledge to the classroom as well as a wealth of first hand experience working with Indigenous communities.

Since the program is committed to working with First Nations and other Indigenous communities to meet their education and research needs, there is initiative to build bridges with local communities. Faculty individually engage in collaborative research with a number of First Nations and Indigenous organizations. We encourage input from interested individuals and communities for ways to enhance these efforts.

Joining the Indigenous Studies program at Western University connects you with faculty and staff who are committed to supporting students every step of the way to achieve their personal best in a vibrant learning community.
